Just added a date on the gig calander for World Cafe Live in Philadelphia: Sunday September 9th.  This will be my first time back playing in Philly(my home town) with my band since last August.  Very excited about this show at a great venue.  Will be bringing down my band 'Heart of Darkness' for a special show with a lot of new music.  I don't play in Philly very often anymore, so make sure you don't miss it!

I am very proud to annouce that I've been asked to perform in Dave Douglas' FONT (Festival of New Trumpet music) this fall.  My group 'Heart of Darkness' will be performing at Smalls on Sept 26th(alongside several other great groups).  For those that don't know about the festival it happens a few times each year and features new music for trumpet performed around NYC.  Many up and coming Jazz trumpet players as well as established acts and featured.  Past performers include: Dave Douglas, Jeremy Pelt, Ingrid Jensen, Ambrose Akinmusire, Peter Evans, Kenny Wheeler, Nadje Noordhuis ETC.  Here's the related website: Fontmusic.org Thanks to Jeremy Pelt for hooking it all up!

Been trying to update this site with all sorts of new Features, including a new 'Gear' page and 'Education/Teaching' page under the 'Contact Me' Tab.  I've been teaching privately a lot recently and also have been teaching on Skype since February too(Always looking for more students!)  In other news, after playing the same horn for 10 years, I finally recieved my brand new Lawler Trumpet last week!  It has a beautiful dark tone and I find it a lot easier to get my personal sound out of this horn.  Can't wait to play some shows soon and let everyone hear it!
